Sassy Shop Wax Melts | Review

Sassy Shop Wax

*AD – an item in this review was gifted to our household for this post. All opinions, as always, are our own.

When it comes to candles, our living rooms seems to have a mix. From the scents of peach to pumpkin apple, candles seem to be a favorite around here. I even got a candle advent calendar this year for Christmas, to try out all the different scents. When Sassy Shop Wax Melts reached out about their wax melts, I was instantly interested in getting some new scents into our living room. Wax melts actually last longer than candles, so I grabbed an electric wax melt warmer from Amazon and picked out two relaxing scents.

Sassy Shop Wax aims to connect people through smells and fragrances. Providing a large number of wax melts, which all contain a bit of biodegradable glitter, the prices are very affordable and the scents are quite strong! Just from the smell of each of these melts, in the package, before they were melted – you can see the quality put into each one. They have a variety of melts in bar form, large bricks, and segmented pots. You are able to even mix and match different scents to make your own or burn less of a scent if you want something that’s not as strong. Unlike a candle, there is a lot more control when it comes to melts. Sassy Shop Wax also has a large Facebook community that’s always giving away various melts, talking about new combinations or just showing off new wax melt warmers – which is great if you are unsure what to get or want to take a look at what’s popular. Anyway, onto the melts I ended up with.

Antique Bookstore

Antique Bookstore sounds like a very interesting smell. Aiming to be quite relaxing, this scent features a few different types of rose, dry black pepper, cedarwood, sandal wood, amber, leather, musk, patchouli, moss, and more. The smell takes you back to an old bookshop, where you can smell the covers of the books around you and feel the silence and relaxation settling in. The scent of rose is actually known to release tension in one’s body, which can really help with sleeping.

Sandalwood and Patchouli Dreams

The Sandalwood and Patchouli Dreams is a more straight forward scent, probably because they are not trying to capture an entire bookstore into a smell. This melt is very vanilla forward, with a bit of musk and wood, as well as patchouli. Focusing on the vanilla scent, this smell is meant to have a soothing effect for a higher quality of sleep, as vanilla is said to reduce hyperactivity and restlessness; something that a lot of people struggle with as they drift off to bed.

I am really happy with the quality and amount of smell from both of these melts, as it’s far more than the amount of fragrance I’d get from just lighting a candle. Sassy Shop Wax has a bunch of different fragrances that all look super pretty too, which is a big plus. The bars and segments are really easy to break apart and use – you get quite a bit of product the price you are paying. The scents that I ended up with are really nice and do feel quite relaxing and luxurious! I look forward to melting them in the evening and watching the glitter swirl around.
