Known for their natural hair colorant, Naturtint now has a variety of Shampoo & Conditioner bars, each specially formulated for a different purpose. One bar is designed to help protect colorant, another to strengthen hair, and a third to nourish hair. My hair always needs a bit of nourishing – I often find my hair to be frizzy at times. For this reason, I picked out the Nourishing 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner bar.
One of the first things that took my interest in this is actually the packaging. Previously, I had gone for shampoo and conditioners that are in big plastic bottles. In a world where we need to cut down on single use plastics, this is one of the few that I have actually kept in my lifestyle. This Naturtint bar is in a small, cardboard box – no plastic packaging, no additional materials that need to be recycled or processed. It’s great to not have a huge chunk of plastic to throw out at the end of use.
The bar itself smells lightly of honey, which is quite pleasant and doesn’t stick to your hair or skin for too long. Its a subtle scent. Using a bar instead of pouring some liquid in your hands is quite easy, it’s just like using a bar of soap really, but it’s for your hair instead. You can get a good lather with the Naturtint Nourishing Shampoo and Conditioner Bar, but not as much as with traditional shampoo – more like the amount I normally get with conditioner. This doesn’t mean your hair isn’t being cleaned though! My hair still felt really soft after being washed – and it was less frizzy for longer, which is very good.
The bar is made from a coconut, cocoa butter and meadowfoam seed oil base with argan oil to nourish and revitalise hair fibres. 99 percent of the ingredients within the bar is natural, which must be better for your hair, skin and peace of mind.
Over all, I am very happy with the quality of this product. The fact that the bar saves on at least three lots of shampoo and conditioner bottles is a huge plus, and it has lasted quite some time for me, despite having long hair and wanting to lather a lot!
I’ve never heard of this brand before. This shampoo and condition seem to be quite good. I’ll definitely check it out.

I don’t think I’ve ever heard of this brand before but I’ve been interested in trying shampoo / conditioner bars for a while now in an attempt to cut down on my plastic usage!
It’s a great brand – they previously did hair colorant and have just moved out into shampoo and conditioner bars.
