Jupiter’s Adventure Bucket List

If you are a fan of reading about our Day’s Out, you’ll find we go on a lot of adventures. I’ve been to several countries each year, experiencing loads of different cultures and foods. My job allows me to work from home, which means I am able to take opportunities that come my way and shift my work. It’s a freedom I wouldn’t give up lightly. I love adventures and I love having a partner that is so interested in going on adventures with me, so we make plans often. Instead of sharing a list of goals, as I did that in January and have already smashed through half, I figured a bucket list would be interesting! As apart of the AliKats’ Bucket List Challenge, I will now share with you 5 bucket list adventures I am totally going at some point in the future.

Food Tour

We love food and eating out. It’s something I do so often – I love cooking and the process behind making different foods. I recently read a blog post (that I cannot seem to find now) about a person who went on a food tour in another country. They were able to try food at a bunch of local restaurants throughout the day and make some of the food themselves. This is something I’d love to do – I think it would be great to experience a different cultures variety of food – probably one that I am not too familiar with, further making this a neat adventure.

Cliff Diving

Last year, when talking about adventures for the year, I wanted to go bungee jumping. As it turned out, my uncle had gone bungee jumping and it messed up his back for a few months. My back has some issues due to a childhood adventure, so bungee jumping isn’t something I could do. Instead, I want to try cliff diving – jumping from the high edge of a cliff into the water below. It’s a rush, it’s a bit scary, but it’s something I want to do at least once in my life.

Hot Air Balloon Ride

When I was a kid, the town next to mine had this big day where all of these unique hot air balloons would launch, floating around the sky all day and landing at the end. I loved watching the colorful balloons enter the sky and always wanted to go into one to ride around. As a child, I of course, could not go – but I hope to someday fulfill that dream and slowly watch the world pass by through the basket of a hot air balloon.

Spend some time in the mountains

My entire life is surrounded with a lot of technology. Moving towards the city makes this even more so. The lifestyle in London is really fast and intense. I’d love to actually spend sometime at a non-work-related event in the mountains. I came from Upstate NY, where the pace is slow and the mountains are high – and I’d love to experience something similar to what I experienced as a child with Dann. I’d love to have some time away from work and away from technology just to enjoy nature and the activities around summertime in the mountains. I really miss seeing proper stars.

That’s about it – it’s a small list of adventures that I am sure we are going to smash someday. Currently, I’ve been focusing on making 2020 a better year than last, which has meant that I have been more focused on work but also going out so much more. There are so many adventures to have – even just small local events – which is always fun to do. Have your own adventure – whether big or small – and enjoy some time with your loved ones!

These are gorgeous bucket list ideas, Jupiter. The one I’d add to mine would be a balloon ride in Cappadocia, Turkey, I think that would definitely be a once in a lifetime experience! I hope you tick some (or all) of these off your list soon, thank you for sharing 🙂

This is a great article on ideas for bucket list ideas. I’m with you on trying various cuisines to learn about a culture.

Also were you talking about the Adirondack Hot Air Balloon Festival in Queensbury, NY? My husband and I went to the festival and also went on a hot air balloon ride. It was short but cool. I got some really cool pictures.

I hope you get to do all the things on your bucket list.
